Last week I had fun running tone of voice workshops in Nashville and Denver. In Denver I kick-started a tone of voice revolution at a company of around 100 – Advito, the consulting arm one of our long-term clients, BCD Travel.
Being able to reach everyone at one time is a rare privilege. But it reminded me how important it is to communicate a new tone of voice to the whole of an organisation. It’s not just about communication, though. You need to give people some practice in the tone of voice techniques, because we’re trying to change the writing habits of a lifetime, and that can be hard.
The result was lots of energy and enthusiasm from Advito.
